Following up from the success of the last years,
PyData Italy will be held again in
Florence, and again during
PyCon Otto
the eighth edition of the PyCon Italia Conference.
PyData Florence will provide a meeting place where data scientists and
engineers could join efforts, aiming at establishing
a strong Italian PyData community.

The PyData conference series is organized and supported by NumFOCUS,
a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports and promotes world-class, innovative,
open source scientific software.
The mission of NumFOCUS is to promote sustainable high-level programming languages,
open code development, and reproducible scientific research.
We accomplish this mission through our educational programs and events as well as
through fiscal sponsorship of open source data science projects.
We aim to increase collaboration and communication within the scientific computing community.
